Does the 7000 work with all GC brands? - Yes. It connects via a standard push-on adaptor and is compatible with all major GC manufacturers including Agilent, Shimadzu, PerkinElmer, and Thermo Scientific.
How often does the 7000 need recalibrating? - Annually. Ellutia's recalibration service returns a fresh UKAS-traceable certificate.
Does it need batteries? - No. The 7000 GC Flowmeter has a built-in rechargeable battery. You charge it via USB C.
Can it measure linear velocity as well as flow rate? Yes. Select your column diameter in the options menu and the flowmeter calculates and displays linear velocity directly. You can switch between flow rate and linear velocity with a single button press.
Where is it made? The 7000 GC Flowmeter is designed and manufactured in the UK by Ellutia, based in Ely, Cambridgeshire.
What is the flow range? The flowmeter measures from 0.1 to 500 ml/min for most gases, with a resolution of 0.1 ml/min. For carbon dioxide the upper limit is 275 ml/min.
