The EL-1 is a 100% dimethyl polysiloxane capillary column with a bonded and crosslinked non-polar phase. It is a direct equivalent to DB-1, HP-1, HP-101, Ultra-1, Rtx-1, and BP-1 phases, making it a reliable replacement for methods developed on those columns.

Applications

The EL-1 is well suited to a range of GC applications across multiple industries. In brewing and alcohol analysis, the 60m x 0.25mm x 0.25µm configuration is validated for ABV testing across the full alcohol range, including low and no alcohol products where accurate measurement at low concentrations is critical. In petrochemical analysis, the EL-1 performs well for hydrocarbon characterisation including naphthas and industrial solvents.
