The EL-FFAP is a polyethylene glycol esterified with nitroterephthalic acid capillary column with a bonded and crosslinked polar phase. It is a direct equivalent to HP-FFAP, DB-FFAP, NUKOL, STABILWAX-DA, and ZB-FFAP phases, making it a reliable replacement for methods developed on those columns. The polar phase makes it particularly well suited to the analysis of free acids, phenols, and glycols without derivatisation.

Applications

The EL-FFAP is suited to a range of GC applications across multiple industries. In rubber analysis, it is used for nitrosamine testing in elastomers and rubber products. In brewing and alcohol analysis, the 60m configuration is validated for alcohol profiling and flavour characterisation of volatile compounds including esters, higher alcohols, and organic acids in wines, spirits, and other beverages. In food analysis, it performs well for fatty acid methyl ester (FAME) analysis and oleic acid profiling.
